Budds Center for American Music Studies

The Budds Center for American Music Studies at the University of Missouri School of Music exists to promote and nurture the research of music and particularly the music of the United States. Dr. Budds's initial project at Mizzou, 100 Years of Music Making at Mizzou, offered an intimate prelude to this vision with a richly-illustrated history of MU's own tradition of musical performance and scholarship. Equally eye-catching is the inaugural publication of the Budds Center, 200 Memorable Missouri Musical Moments, which widens the scope to include the musical history of the entire state since its initiation into the union.
