- The Mizzou Store, which MU owns and operates, is a self-supporting auxiliary that reserves 21% of its budget for scholarships, donations, discounts and projects benefitting students. Annually, the store provides $500,000 for MU’s general operating budget.
- The Mizzou Store and Tiger Tech has invested $6.9 million in student wages since 2005
The Mizzou Store provides financial and/or merchandise contributions to academic departments and campus organizations to support their program initiatives including, but not limited to:

Ongoing Support
- The Mizzou Store carries Philanthro-Tees, a program that provides a retail venue for student organizations to sell their merchandise via consignment in support of philanthropic and charitable efforts.
- Work closely with Tiger Pantry and Truman’s Closet and contributes space and fixtures at Rock Quarry Center for their operations.
Teaching and Learning Support
- University of Missouri Campus Stores Retail Scholarship: Provides funding for one faculty and two Textile and Apparel Management students to join the University of Missouri Campus Stores buying team and attend CAMEX, a national trade show hosted by the National Association of College Stores. This collaboration connects classroom learning with a hands-on experience to encourage future retail careers.
- Sponsorship of new teaching and research assistant orientation breakfast and donations to resource fairs; Annual support of new faculty orientation and Excellence in Teaching Conference and Campus Authors Reception.
- Funding and merchandise donations to support efforts that raise scholarships for students: CAFNR recruitment and scholarship fund raisers; College of Veterinary Medicine Gentle Doctor Benefit, St. Louis Alumni Chapter Soiree in Stripes; MU Law Tim Heinz 5K Run and many others.
Community Outreach
- The Mizzou Store is a sponsor of Saturday Morning Science, providing financial support of printing costs, travel honoraria for guest speakers, and donating marketing and public relations support to the program.
- Sponsorship of Tiger Habitat preservation at the St. Louis and Dickerson zoos
- Donations and discounts to University sponsored events that support community services and awareness: Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders fundraiser; Med Zou; Missouri Scholars 100 event; United Way participation on all UM System campuses; Columbia Public Schools Senior Party, Mid-Missouri Tourism Council and others.
