Missouri Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday
Missouri’s Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday takes place August 7 through August 9, 2026. During the holiday, qualifying purchases that meet Missouri’s eligibility requirements are exempt from sales tax.
Qualifying Purchases Include
- Clothing valued at $100 or less per item
- School supplies not exceeding $50 per purchase
- Computer software valued at $350 or less
- Personal computers not exceeding $1,500
- Computer peripheral devices not exceeding $1,500
- Graphing calculators not exceeding $150

For technology purchases, we recommend preordering to help ensure the product you want is available during the Sales Tax Holiday.
Place your preorder 1–2 weeks in advance and select either of the Hold for Tax Holiday Weekend shipping methods at checkout. Your payment method will be authorized when the preorder is submitted, but you will not be charged until your qualifying order is processed during the Sales Tax Holiday.
Pickup or local delivery may occur after the holiday weekend.
